Emey's Bike Shop in the Gramercy neighborhood has a facade made of zinc, which dates back to the early 1900s.

The owner, Emey Hoffman, told us that, "the building was originally a barn on Peter Stuyvesant's farm and that Time Magazine's initial headquarters were once located at this address." We love its #handpainted #signage! Photo and full interview with Emey appears in our book "Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York".
